Privacy Policy

Trip Way Privacy Policy

This privacy policy applies to the Trip Way app (hereby referred to as "Application") for mobile devices that was created by Ivan Madera (hereby referred to as "Service Provider") as a Freemium service. This service is intended for use "AS IS".

Information Collection and Use

The Application collects information when you download and use it. This information may include information such as

The Application collects your device's location, which helps the Service Provider determine your approximate geographical location and make use of in below ways:

The Service Provider may use the information you provided to contact you from time to time to provide you with important information, required notices and marketing promotions.

For a better experience, while using the Application, the Service Provider may require you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information. The information that the Service Provider request will be retained by them and used as described in this privacy policy.

Data Usage and Advertising

The Service Provider does not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes. The data collected and processed by the Application is used solely to provide and improve the Application's functionality, including optional collaborative features.

The Application does not use your data for targeted advertising, user profiling, or tracking across apps and websites.

Data processing for contract processing

For the processing of contracts concluded via the app, we work together with the following service provider(s), who support us in whole or in part in the implementation of concluded contracts. Certain personal data is transmitted to these service providers in accordance with the following information.

The personal data collected by us will be passed on to the transport company commissioned with the delivery as part of the contract, insofar as this is necessary for the delivery of the goods. We pass on your payment data to the commissioned credit institute as part of the payment process, provided this is necessary for the payment process. If payment service providers are used, we will explicitly inform you of this below. The legal basis for the transfer of data is Article 6 (1) (b) GDPR.

RevenueCat

In the case of in-app payments, payment is made via RevenueCat Inc., 300 Euclid Avenue San Francisco, CA 94118, USA. to whom we pass on the information you provided during the ordering process together with the information about your order. Your data will be passed on in accordance with Article 6 Paragraph 1 Letter b GDPR exclusively for the purpose of payment processing and only to the extent that it is necessary for this. We have concluded an order processing contract with RevenueCat Inc., with which we oblige the provider to protect the data of the app users and not to pass it on to third parties.

Firebase Crashlytics

To create anonymous crash reports, we use "Firebase Crashlytics", a service provided by Google Ireland Ltd., Google Building Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, to improve the stability and reliability of our app. If the app crashes, anonymous information will only be transmitted to the Google servers on the basis of your express consent in accordance with Article 6(1)(a) GDPR (app status at the time of the crash, installation UUID, crash trace, manufacturer and operating system of the mobile phone, last log messages). Also transfers to Google LLC. In the US are possible. This information does not contain any personal data. You can give or revoke consent in the app settings. You can withdraw your consent at any time by disabling the "Crash Reporting" feature in the app's settings. Opt-Out Rights

You can stop all collection of information by the Application easily by uninstalling it. You may use the standard uninstall processes as may be available as part of your mobile device or via the mobile application marketplace or network.

Data Retention Policy

The Service Provider will retain User Provided data for as long as you use the Application and for a reasonable time thereafter. If you'd like them to delete User Provided Data that you have provided via the Application, please contact them at tripway.contact@gmail.com and they will respond in a reasonable time.

If you use the collaborative editing feature, trip data stored in Firebase Firestore will be retained for as long as the trip remains shared or until the collaboration is terminated. Once a trip is no longer shared, the corresponding data will be deleted or anonymized within a reasonable period, unless a longer retention period is required by law. You may request deletion of collaborative trip data at any time by contacting the Service Provider at tripway.contact@gmail.com.

Children

The Service Provider does not use the Application to knowingly solicit data from or market to children under the age of 13.

The Service Provider does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children. The Service Provider encourages all children to never submit any personally identifiable information through the Application and/or Services. The Service Provider encourage parents and legal guardians to monitor their children's Internet usage and to help enforce this Policy by instructing their children never to provide personally identifiable information through the Application and/or Services without their permission. If you have reason to believe that a child has provided personally identifiable information to the Service Provider through the Application and/or Services, please contact the Service Provider (tripway.contact@gmail.com) so that they will be able to take the necessary actions. You must also be at least 16 years of age to consent to the processing of your personally identifiable information in your country (in some countries we may allow your parent or guardian to do so on your behalf).

Security

The Service Provider is concerned about safeguarding the confidentiality of your information. The Service Provider provides physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect information the Service Provider processes and maintains.

Changes

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time for any reason. The Service Provider will notify you of any changes to the Privacy Policy by updating this page with the new Privacy Policy. You are advised to consult this Privacy Policy regularly for any changes, as continued use is deemed approval of all changes.

Your Consent

By using the Application, you are consenting to the processing of your information as set forth in this Privacy Policy now and as amended by us.

By using the optional collaborative editing feature, you explicitly consent to the processing and storage of shared trip data as described in this Privacy Policy.

Photos and iCloud Storage

If you choose to add photos to the Application (for example, by taking a photo or selecting one from your photo library), these images are stored securely in your personal iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit private database. These photos are accessible only by you and are not shared with the developer or any third parties. The Application does not upload or transmit these images to any external servers other than your own iCloud account, and they are used solely for app functionality.

Trips Data and Collaborative Editing

The Application offers an optional collaborative editing feature that allows you to share and edit trips together with other users. If you choose to use this feature, certain data related to your trips (such as trip names, locations, dates, notes, and related metadata) will be stored and processed on the Service Provider's server using Firebase Firestore, a cloud database service.

This data is processed solely for the purpose of enabling shared access, real-time collaboration, and synchronization of changes between participants of the same trip. The use of this feature is entirely optional, and you can continue using the Application without collaborative editing, in which case your trip data remains stored only in your personal iCloud account.

The processing and storage of this data are based on your explicit consent in accordance with Article 6(1)(a) GDPR, or, where applicable, for the performance of a contract pursuant to Article 6(1)(b) GDPR.

Firebase Firestore

For the purpose of enabling collaborative trip editing, the Application uses Firebase Firestore, a cloud database service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Data may also be processed on servers operated by Google LLC in the United States.

Only trip data that is explicitly shared for collaboration is stored in Firebase Firestore. Trip data that is not shared remains stored exclusively in the user's personal iCloud account and is not transmitted to the Service Provider's servers.

The Service Provider has entered into a data processing agreement with Google to ensure that all data is handled in accordance with applicable data protection laws. Appropriate technical and organizational measures are implemented to protect this data.
